PLR vs MRR — what you're actually buying
Most PLR stores don't explain this, and it's the single most important thing to understand before you buy. Here's the difference, plainly.
The two kinds of "rights" you'll see
When a store sells content with "rights," there are really only two models. They look similar on a product page — a document plus a license file — but what you're allowed to do with the content is completely different.
- PLR (Private Label Rights) — you can rebrand the content as your own, publish it under your name, build products from it, and sell it again under the same license.
- MRR (Modified Resell Rights) — you can rebrand and publish the content, but you cannot resell the files themselves. The buyer of your product is not allowed to resell it onward.
Side by side
| PLR (what we sell) | MRR | |
|---|---|---|
| Rebrand as your own | ✓ Yes | ✓ Yes |
| Publish on your blog / newsletter | ✓ Yes | ✓ Yes |
| Build courses, workbooks, lead magnets | ✓ Yes | ✓ Yes |
| Sell the content as your own product | ✓ Yes | ✗ No |
| Your buyers can resell it onward | ✓ Yes | ✗ No |
| Keep 100% of your earnings | ✓ Yes | ✓ Yes |
What does this mean for you?
If you're buying to publish content on your site, newsletter, or social channels — both PLR and MRR let you do that. The difference only shows up if you plan to sell the content itself. Under MRR, the moment you resell the files, your buyer inherits a dead end: they can publish but never resell. Under PLR, the chain continues — your buyer can do everything you did, which is also why PLR products typically command a higher price and sell faster: the buyer's upside is real.
Every product in the PLR Redo store is sold under a full PLR license, and the license file is inside every download so the terms are never a question mark.
